The Amazing Benefits Of Exfoliation

Exfoliating is a huge part of my beauty regime,both for my face and body. There are a few ways you can exfoliate the skin, which ever method you choose must be performed regularly to reap the benefits (once or twice a week). 


Why Exfoliate? The Benefits

Face

A damp face cloth along with your usual cleanser, rubbing gently at the skin.
A face scrub. Use circular motions all over the face and neck and then rinse off.

Body

Body brushing. Using a dry body brush, brush your entire body in upward strokes.
Exfoliating gloves along with your usual shower gel, gently scrub your body whilst in the bath or shower.
Body scrub. You can also purchase a body scrub, these are more abrasive than facial scrubs. Again, simply scrub your body whilst in the bath or shower. 

Benefits of exfoliating

  • Exfoliating will remove any dead skin cells, revealing fresher skin underneath.
  • Scrubbing the skin stimulates circulation, bringing oxygen to the skin for a healthy glow.
  • Exfoliating will encourage cells to heal and renew, leaving smoother, healthy skin.
  • Exfoliating helps to unclog pores.
  • Removing dead skin cells can help with discolouration.
  • Keeps fine lines and wrinkles at bay.

  1. I've always exfoliated my face but I've never really bothered exfoliating my body since it tends to make such a mess if I do it before a bath.. Would you recommend showering instead? I'm worried about clogging up my shower with leftover scrubby bits!

    1. If your using a body scrub I would advise to use it in the shower or a bath as you need to add some water to the scrub. Don't worry about the mess it will all get washed down the plug hole easily :) I hope this helps xxx
